Community Impact

Community Impact

United Way of the Piedmont is committed to improving lives and delivering meaningful results. We do this by uniting donors, volunteers, corporate partners, and non-profit organizations around solutions to community issues. YOU can help by giving to United Way, by advocating for a particular issue that is important to you, or by volunteering your time.

Everything we do at United Way is designed to create positive community impact. Our strategy for Community Impact involves:
  • Community Investment – investing our donors' dollars in programs and services in our community that are making a measurable difference in identified community concerns; and
  • Community Initiatives – convening individuals and groups around specific community concerns and working with those groups to develop and implement solutions.
Our Community Impact Agenda guides both investment and initiatives and includes six focus areas that our community has said matter most. Your gift is entrusted to the hands of trained community volunteers who work together to carefully invest funds and other resources in programs that are achieving the greatest impact on community issues.
