In the past year, 1,016 adults received the help they needed to get their GED
and/or continue their education.

a diverse group of volunteers work to bring organizations, people, and resources
together to focus on critical issues that affect the community.

hundreds of programs that have been evaluated by trained volunteers and identified
as achieving measurable outcomes in our community. United Way is committed to

United Way funded programs and services respond to specific community needs identified
by you, our customer. Because United Way gives money to agency programs that serve

Q. How much of my money actually goes to programs and services?
A. Ninety cents of every dollar collected goes to programs and services. This
leaves just 10% for United Way of the Piedmont’s administrative expenses. Our
extensive use of volunteers helps keep costs low, enabling us to put more money
right back into this community.
