Gifts in Kind Center

An exciting new partnership between Exel Logistics and United Way of the Piedmont has led to the establishment of a Gifts-in-Kind Center in Spartanburg. Exel Logistics opened a return center in Spartanburg which manages returned and damaged merchandise from major retail outlets in the southeast. When products arrive at the return center, they are sorted and handled based on supplier instruction. Items are either returned to the supplier, or are donated to the local community for use in nonprofit organizations.

On a daily basis, deliveries from Exel arrive at the Gifts-In-Kind Center operated by United Way of the Piedmont. Member agencies schedule appointments to shop for product, which is used to serve clients in need.
