D. Byrd Miller was
presented with United Way of the Piedmont’s
most prestigious award at the annual leadership reception. The Morgan
Award has been presented annually since 1986 to a volunteer for their civic
contribution that demonstrates a spirit of caring for the community.
Miller , the 24nd
recipient of The Morgan Award, is Chief Financial Officer & Treasurer of
William Barnet & Son LLC, a synthetic fibers / yarns / polymers company
with offices and manufacturing
facilities in the Americas,
Europe, and Asia.
Miller oversees all financial operations of the company including all of its
foreign entities.
A
native of Greenville, SC., Miller is a graduate
of Clemson University and
the Stonier Graduate School of Banking. He resides in Spartanburg with his wife Liza.
