The Piedmont Society

Each year, the generosity of thousands of individuals in our community confirms a belief in the work of United Way of the Piedmont. Some donors have chosen to take their commitment a step further by arranging a planned gift to United Way. 

The Piedmont Society recognizes and honors donors who have included United Way of the Piedmont in their wills or other estate plans. By combining philanthropy and financial planning, individuals are able to give more than they ever thought possible while taking advantage of tax savings.  There are many options in how individuals make planned gifts to United Way, including:

• Gifts in a will or revocable trust
• Charitable gift annuities
• Charitable remainder annuity trusts
• Future gifts of life insurance
• Future gifts of retirement plan assets
