Spring Sharing Rally 08

Richard Dillard, Campaign Chair, speaks to more than 100 people who attended the sharing rally.

The Spring Sharing Rally was held on March 15 in the first floor lobby of the Denny's Tower and drew more than 100 people from a variety of companies and agencies throughout Spartanburg.  This year, a special edition of "Jeopardy" was played with questions pertaining to the six priority areas of the United Way of the Piedmont Community Impact Agenda. Contestants from Hexion, Milliken and Spartanburg Regional displayed a wealth of knowledge (cheat sheets in the form of United Way brochures were on hand) and engaged in dialogue with the one and only Alex Trebek (impersonated by Richard Dillard).

The campaign update was announced, standing at $2,692,764, which is a 16.3% increase in finalized campaigns (view finalized campaigns)! Roughly 50% of scheduled campaigns have been completed, so we are well on our way of meeting our $5 million goal.
