The “ Nonprofit Partnership Center” model is changing the landscape for nonprofit agencies that serve multiple counties. Through this partnership agencies can share office space, in order to reduce overhead costs, so that each agency can more affordably provide their services to clients in the county from which they originate. This ultimately reduces or altogether eliminates transportation issues that many clients who live in these outlying counties face when trying to receive assistance.
In 2013, The Union County Nonprofit Partnership Center was opened as part of a collaborated effort between United Way of the Piedmont and Union County. Union County Council donated use of two office spaces housed within the Union County Health Department. The nonprofit agencies that provide services from this location are: ABLE-SC, Alzheimer’s Association, American Red Cross, Children’s Advocacy Center, and Miracle League of Union.
115 Thomas Street, Union, SC — Located in the same building as Union County Health Dept.
