Workplace Campaigns

When you invest in the community through United Way, your gifts of time and money address the most critical health and human service issues and support proven programs that are improving the quality of life for residents of Spartanburg, Cherokee and Union Counties.

In addition, there are benefits to your company when you partner with United Way.

  • Issue/Resource Education: Many people are unaware of the issues facing our community and how they can help address them. United Way provides them that opportunity. Partnering with United Way also exposes employees to programs and services available to them and their families.
  • Community Volunteer Opportunities: United Way coordinates local volunteer projects connecting groups and individuals with agencies in need of assistance. Volunteer projects are a great method of increasing morale, building a team, and impacting the community all at the same time.
  •  Improved Customer Relations and Loyalty: Market research shows that customers are more likely to purchase goods and services from organizations that support their local community.
  • Community Relations: Partnering with United Way exhibits your company's concern for the community and their commitment to improving it. Your company will be known as a community partner.
  • Improve Stakeholder Relations and Recognition: A visible interest in the community's capacity to address critical health and human service issues can enhance relationships with your stakeholders and other community leaders. United Way partners are recognized throughout the year in a variety of ways. Community meetings, United Way annual report and United Way's website are a few examples.
  • Enhanced Employee Relations: Conducting a workplace campaign and participating in volunteer projects humanizes the workplace as employees work to better their community as well as the company. Participation in a campaign committee can build teamwork skills and boost morale as employees learn to set goals, create and execute a plan, and achieve positive results.
  • Financial Benefits: Companies and employees can receive tax deductions/credits from charitable giving.
