Women United has partnered with the Homeless Period Project to help young women in our community keep their dignity and stay in school while having their periods. Did you know that feminine hygiene products are not covered under SNAP benefits (food stamps)? Many families in our community who struggle to make ends meet and even put food on the table are not able to afford these essential products. As a result many young girls will miss school.
So join us for a Period Packing Party! We will assemble period packs to be distributed to Spartanburg County School Districts.
Items to collect and bring to the party: pads, liners, wrapped feminine wipes, small cosmetic bag (to hold the products discreetly for the girls).
November 29, 5:30 – 6:30
203 East Main St.
Please let us know you’re coming!
