AFRICAN AMERICAN LEADERSHIP SOCIETY

We are excited to announce the creation of our newest donor network, the African American Leadership Society or AALS.  Although the desire to create this donor network has been around for several years, the network became a reality in 2019.  Led by a volunteer advisory board, this donor network will be composed of individuals who invest $500 or more annually to United Way of the Piedmont’s Community Impact Fund and want to collaborate with their peers.  The advisory board is in the process of developing ways to engage the AALS membership, including volunteer opportunities, social events, education sessions, and attending other UWP sponsored events.  As this network continues to grow, AALS members will identify a specific challenge connected to UWP’s community impact work where they can play a significant role.
