United Way of the Piedmont is a nonprofit organization serving Cherokee, Spartanburg, and Union counties in South Carolina. Founded in 1936, we bring together donors, volunteers, businesses, and community partners to build financial security and improve lives across our tri-county region.
Each year, we invest in dozens of local programs, connect thousands of residents to services through our 211 helpline, provide free tax preparation through our VITA program, and deploy Community Resource Coordinators who help families build a stronger financial future. We are part of the United Way Worldwide network and have served our Piedmont region for 90 years.
