agency RESOURCES

it takes all of us.

We are all on a mission to improve our community. United Way of the Piedmont is proud to offer resources and tools that can help you along the way.

Charity Tracker

Charity Tracker is an online shared case management system that serves as a network between nonprofits in our community. Participating organizations share and track client data to reduce duplication of services and improve reporting capabilities.

United Way of the Piedmont offers Charity Tracker to our local nonprofit community at $200 per user per year. Training is included.

Over 30 local organizations participate in Charity Tracker.

If you would like more information about how to incorporate Charity Tracker into your programming, contact us.

2-1-1

2-1-1 is a free and confidential service helping people across South Carolina find the local resources they need when they need them.

You can use 2-1-1 to support your clients’ needs in areas such as food, housing, employment, transportation, health services, eldercare, and more. 2-1-1 can be shared as a 24/7 resource for clients to independently access resources online or talk to a live person who will help assess their needs.

3 Easy Ways to Use 2-1-1

  1. Search for services at sc211.org.
  2. Download the SC211 app on your mobile device.
  3. Dial 2-1-1 (or 866-892-9211) on your phone to speak to an agent.

Add your organization to the 2-1-1 resource database

Help community members find your organization by providing 2-1-1 with information about your service offerings. Those who contact 2-1-1 looking for services like yours will not only be told about your organization, but understand program eligibility requirements, how/when/where to access your programs and what documents to bring with them, as applicable. Register here.

Volunteers

We put a lot of effort into getting people excited about giving their time and driving them to our database of local volunteer opportunities. The database allows volunteers to search for opportunities that meet their interests and availability.

Contact us if you would like to list your volunteer needs on our platform for volunteerism, Get Connected.

Funding

United Way’s Community Investment Process provides results-oriented funding to 60 nonprofit agencies in Spartanburg, Cherokee, and Union counties. Funding recommendations are made by a dedicated group of community volunteers and are approved by our Board of Directors.

Given staff constraints and the specific nature of our mission, we do not accept unsolicited proposals. Other nonprofits may be receiving funding from United Way of the Piedmont through our workplace campaigns where employees may designate funds to nonprofits outside of our priority focus areas.
