General Daniel Morgan Society

Established in 1986, the General Daniel Morgan Leadership Society recognizes and celebrates individuals who demonstrate their commitment to our community by investing in United Way of the Piedmont at the leadership level. The confidence in United Way demonstrated by a leadership level investment sets an example of philanthropic involvement for others.


Investments of $1,000 or more annually qualify for membership in the General Daniel Morgan Society. Membership includes access to exclusive United Way events, educational opportunities, and more. Donate today to join!

The Alexis de Tocqueville Society is recognized by United Ways across the United States as those donors who demonstrate a commitment to making our communities stronger for generations to come. The society is named for the French aristocrat, Alexis Charles Henri Clerel de Tocqueville, who recognized, applauded, and immortalized the spirit of volunteerism and philanthropy that lives in America’s heart.
