Created in collaboration with the United Way of the Piedmont and more than 15 agencies specializing in child advocacy and childhood development, Sharpen Family is a fabulous resource for parents (especially for foster parents and parents of young children). Built in a trauma-informed framework, Sharpen Family contains a library of over 400 educational modules on mental health topics, to support families through COVID-19 and beyond.
Sharpen Family does not replace the importance of a counselor. We can educate and assist individuals in connecting to treatment providers in their area.
Sharpen Family is being offered at no cost to South Carolina families in response to COVID-19. The evidence-based resources help families cope with anxiety, depression and other mental health challenges. There are also stress management and mindfulness tips to assist the whole community during this trying time.

“We have been working with all of our community partners to get foster care and parenting resources to our families through our branded app, sharpenFAMILY. This is a game-changer for any of us who seek to find more ways to use data to inform decision-making and improve our community impact.”
