Power of the Purse is a one-of-a-kind evening that celebrates the strength, generosity, and impact of women. Hosted by Women United, a dynamic network of women volunteering, fundraising, and advocating for the work of United Way, this event directly supports local women facing housing insecurity. Together, we help provide resources, stability, and hope for those who need it most.


Set against the elegant backdrop of Dillard’s Spartanburg, the night will sparkle with connection and purpose. Guests will enjoy:

One of the highlights of Power of the Purse is the silent auction of handbags, and it would not be possible without generous donors like you. Every purse donated helps raise vital funds to support local women facing housing insecurity.


We welcome new or gently loved purses of all kinds:

- Everyday classics

- Chic statement bags

- High-end designer pieces

While all donations are appreciated, designer and luxury handbags will make the biggest impact by exciting bidders and raising the most for women in need.
